A lot of collectors have grown tired of the slab cycle — the grading fees, the wait times, cards in plastic cases in a drawer somewhere. There's something different about a complete set of cards displayed next to each other in a binder.

The old Japanese cards lend themselves to this very well. The sets are focused, the holos are iconic, and finishing a Base Set binder is a genuinely achievable goal.
